God Bless Irish Men!!!!

There are many things that I really like but are really bad for me. Let's see...there's alcohol, staying up late, medium well steak, and Irish men. I should know, I was married to one....an Irish man, that is, not a steak.

I have known several men from the Emerald Isle (though not all in the biblical sense) :( They're a weakness for me. Irish men are moody, gloomy, brooding SOBs, but they exude confidence and a rugged sexuality like nobody's business...at least they do for me.

There's a problem with Irish men though. Their fire is perfectly met by the fire inside an Irish woman. It's like matter and anti-matter. A strong incinerating heat that burns up everything and then ends in a blaze of glory. They're just damned wild and untamed.

For all their feral behavior (pun totally intended), Irish men are still my drug of choice. This post is dedicated to them. Enjoy the eye candy.....

Isle Rage

I went to Krogers this afternoon to buy groceries for the bottomless pit stomaches of my children. It's amazing how much kids can eat. My son could eat 24 hrs a day and never be full. Maybe he has a tape worm. hummm.....

Anyway, back to my diatribe. Everytime I go shopping it never fails to happen. Some older lady puts her shopping cart in the MIDDLE of the isle and stands there, just mesmerized by the Windex or whatever she is looking at. She pulls the item down from the shelf. Reads the label. Looks at it intently, as if to see the individual molecules within it. The whole time, I'm standing behind her trying to get around her depends laden ass.

I know what you're thinking. Why don't you just say "Excuse me. I need to go around." Well, I usually say just that. This time was no exception. The lady looked at me, then proceeded to move her cart over...about 2 centimeters. Now I'm pissed. What in the hell is so interesting about window cleaner? Has she lived in a basement her whole life and never needed to clean windows? I think not. At this point, I am determined to get around her. Yes, I could just turn my cart around and go the other way, but why should I? I'm sure her behavior requires people to turn their carts around all the time. Not today. Not me. I will stand here until she dies if I have to.

Well, it turns out I didn't have to wait for her to be carried out to a waiting hearse. I continued to try to inch my way around until she was visibly perturbed. hehehehehehe She moved her cart all the way over, let out an audible exasperated sigh, and looked at me with bitch eyes. I looked at her, smiled, and started singing as I passed her. Bitch.

If you stop in the isle at the grocery store, think of others and move far out of the way. You never know when someone will have a case of isle rage.

Stressful Week

It's been a stressful week at work for me. I'm tired. So instead of writing, I'll let a picture do the talking for me.

Ideas or Ignorance?

Warning: This post contains ideas which may offend readers who are Christians. I believe that ideas shouldn't be feared but ignorance should. Let's discuss everything and leave nothing out. If you a staunch Christian and are offended by ideas contrary to Biblical teachings then stop now and read no further.

I have started a book which will change me. I know this because the book's ideas are so different that I can't help but think about them when my mind wonders. I can be sitting at my desk at work and a passage from the book will cross my mind. What book has caused such a reaction? The Jesus Papers. This is a book that everyone should read. The entire Christian community should have a discussion about the assertions within this book. But I will never see that happen. Why? Because we aren't ready for such a discussion yet. The world is so dependent on Christianity for it's compass that any threat to it's monopoly on control, guilt, and judgment will be met with ferocious opposition. Hearing words like hieratic, evil, and demon will become an everyday occurrence. A calm and rational discussion about the legitimacy of Christianity can never happen. Oh, just think of the fighting and edicts from the Vatican. Our society, as we know it, would break down.

The Jesus Papers was written by one of the authors that wrote Holy Blood, Holy Grail. In the book the author lays out a very convincing but far fetched idea that Jesus survived the crucifixion. The historical Jesus as depicted in the book was a radical, anti-establishment kind of guy. He fought hard to get the Romans out of The Holy Land. He was a member of the resistance group called "The Zealots". Jesus was crucified for this offense, not for being the Messiah. The book asserts that Jesus was placed in the tomb while he was still alive. That night his Zealot cohorts removed him from the tomb, thereby faking his death. Jesus was shuttled out of the city and nursed back to health. Everyone that saw him after that assumed that he had risen from the dead. A pregnant Mary Magdalene, Jesus' wife, went to the South of France to have her baby. There are records in the South of France to support the idea of a Hebrew woman arriving pregnant and giving birth to a daughter, Sarah. There is so much more to talk about. I couldn't possibly go into it all. I may post several posts on this book.

One of the strongest assertions in this book is that the Vatican has almost always known about this. The Holy See could not give up the power, money, and priviledge associated with being the first Church of Jesus, so they have actively suppressed the knowledge for over one thousand years. The greatest coverup in history? I don't know, but it is worth talking about.
